In the field of food cutting machinery, a machine’s “compatibility” and “expandability” are often key factors for businesses to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Chuanda Machinery’s CD455 Frozen Meat Slicer stands out as a pivotal solution that breaks the limitations of standalone machines through its adaptability.
It not only independently achieves precise slicing of various ingredients such as frozen meat and cheese, but also combine with equipment like the CDEW 2D dicing machine to deliver fully customized end-to-end production solutions—from slicing to dicing and cubing—tailored to each customer’s needs.
CD455: From “Single-Machine Slicing” to “Collaborative Core”
As ChuanDa Machinery’s original machine, the CD455’s value extends far beyond “high-efficiency slicing.” Its design inherently incorporates collaborative capabilities, enabling flexible integration with other machine to form customized production lines tailored to diverse customer needs.
Through market research, Chuanda Machinery discovered that as food processing categories expanded, customer demands shifted from “single-cut slicing” to “multi-form processing”: pork belly requires 20×20mm and 25×25mm strips, while beef demands 25×25mm and 30×30mm cubes.
While the CD455 can handle these cuts alone, it requires 2-3 passes. Leveraging the CD455’s stability and adaptability, Chuanda Machinery developed multiple complementary devices to boost output. Among them, the CDEW 2D dicer stands as one of the CD455’s ideal partners, overcoming the capacity and shape limitations inherent in single-machine operation.
CD455 × CDEW: The “High-Efficiency Combination” for Frozen Meat Dicing

The CDEW two-dimensional dicer features a feed width comparable to the CD455, ensuring ingredients processed by the CD455 can directly enter the CDEW for dicing. This creates a production line: “slicing → dicing.”
Taking 30mm frozen beef cubes as an example: the CD455 first slices frozen meat into 30mm-thick beef sheets. These sheets are then fed onto the CDEW’s conveyor belt. The CDEW employs a “straight blade assembly + circular blade assembly” to continuously cut the 30mm-thick sheets into 30×30×30mm beef cubes. Using 30×30×30mm beef cubes as an example, this integrated system can directly boost output to approximately 1 ton per hour.
Notably, leveraging the CD455’s low-temperature adaptability, the CDEW can also reliably process frozen meat at 0 to -10°C. However, -10°C represents the CDEW’s operational limit; production at this temperature is not recommended as it may damage blades and machinery. For customers requiring cutting of frozen meat without thawing, this machine and production line are suitable options.
CD455 × CDEW: The Precision Cutting “Quality Partner”

The operation of CD455 and CDEW enhances cutting quality. CD455 delivers precise slicing, while CDEW employs a “vertical strip cutting + circular blade cutting” method to minimize deformation caused by compression during ingredient processing. This results in uniformly shaped frozen meat cube with smooth surfaces.
Throughout the cutting process, minimal pressure is applied to ingredients, significantly preserving the integrity of meat fibers and preventing quality loss from compression.
Furthermore, the CDEW maintains the same durability and ease of maintenance as the CD455: After over a dozen upgrades and modifications, the equipment is easy to clean, repair, and maintain, meeting the stringent standards of the food processing industry. Together with the CD455, it forms a production line characterized by “high efficiency + durability.”
CD455 × CDEW Meets Diverse Processing Demands
- Cutting Formats: CDEW achieves cube and strip cutting between 8mm and 40mm, handling diverse ingredients like pork belly and beef. Change knife sets accommodate varying cut sizes.
- Production Capacity Adaptability: The CD455 and CDEW production lines are suited for large-scale manufacturing of high-volume single products. With a frozen meat dicing capacity of 1 ton per hour, they effortlessly meet the batch processing demands of food factories.
- Quality Assurance: Low-temperature cutting minimizes oxidation and discoloration of ingredients, while low-pressure processing preserves their original texture. The machines’ quality has been rigorously tested in the market and has earned high recognition from domestic and international customers.
Of course, Chuanda Machinery also openly shares important usage notes for the CDEW: The CDEW’s knife sets assembly is designed for stability and substantial weight to ensure consistent cutting performance. Replacement requires specialized training and coordination. It more suitable for high-volume, single-product production runs.
