CD455 Frozen Meat Slicer:The Journey of Innovation

The mainstream raw meat in the market typically comes in square blocks weighing 20-25kg and measuring 550mm x 400mm x 150mm. While convenient for packaging and transportation, these large blocks are difficult to process directly.

Traditional cutting equipment has limited feeding widths, making it incompatible with such oversized blocks. Companies must repeatedly undergo pre-processing steps—thawing, cutting, and refreezing—which not only complicate the workflow but also severely compromise meat freshness and quality.

Addressing this industry challenge, the CD455 Frozen Meat Slicer was developed with a clear objective: to enable direct cutting of large frozen meat blocks, streamline pre-processing steps, and ensure meat quality retention. Its model number “455” originates from its 455mm wide feeding design, paired with a clearance height of 190mm or 250mm, easily accommodating most large meat blocks in the industry.

Two Key Designs of the CD455:

First, Guillotine-Style Vertical Cutting. Employing a vertical blade movement eliminates lateral forces during cutting, preventing displacement of the meat block and ensuring precision with every cut.

Second, the six-guide-column stabilization structure. Six linear guide columns on both sides of the blade holder work in concert to counteract the reaction force generated during frozen meat cutting, ensuring vertical blade descent and serving as the core guarantee for stable equipment operation.

Three distinct applications of the CD455:

By swapping among three specialized blades, the CD455 meets diverse processing demands, achieving “one machine, three uses”:

Slicing Blade: Ideal for processing meat at -3°C to -4°C, delivering exceptional precision with slices as thin as 0.3mm. The 2mm-thick slices are particularly suited for teppanyaki and grilling, ensuring rapid cooking while locking in natural flavors.

Rolling Blade: Designed for frozen meat at -8°C to -13°C, it produces 1mm or 1.2mm slices that naturally curl into meat rolls—ideal for hot pot applications. It processes up to 4 rolls at once, effortlessly shaping even irregular cuts.

Bone-Cutting Blade: Engineered for bone-in ingredients, it flexibly handles pork trotters, ribs, and similar materials, expanding the machine’s application scope.

When selecting frozen meat cutting equipment, the core consideration in matching specific operational needs. For clients evaluating the CD455, four key dimensions warrant attention:

Raw Material Dimensions: For direct cutting of meat blocks narrower than 455mm, the CD455’s wide feed outperforms traditional block cutters, which typically offer feed widths of 300mm or 360mm.

Consider cutting temperature. For direct processing of frozen meat between 0°C and -10°C to preserve quality, the CD455 delivers precise performance.

Evaluate product versatility. If your production line includes thin slices, meat rolls, and occasional bone-in cuts, the “three-in-one” flexibility of the CD455 significantly boosts processing efficiency.

Regarding cutting precision and output, the CD455 excels with 100 cuts per minute and 0.3mm accuracy, making it ideal for quality-focused customers. For ultra-high output, traditional block cutters remain suitable.

In today’s global market, the CD455’s core advantages are:

First, irreplaceable functionality. The CD455 fills a niche in frozen meat cutting equipment, demonstrating strong market competitiveness in high-precision slicing and roll cutting for large-sized products within the 0 to -10°C temperature range.

Second, mature and reliable technology. After over a decade of market validation and nearly 40 iterations based on global customer feedback, the CD455 now offers exceptional stability, durability, low failure rates, and extremely simple maintenance.

Third, global market recognition. The equipment has been exported to multiple countries and regions including the United States, Australia, and Canada, where it is widely used for pre-cutting or precision processing of meat, fish, and various specialty ingredients, earning international trust through proven performance.

Moving forward, Chuanda Machinery will remain committed to its founding principles, continuing machine R&D and iterative upgrades to create greater core value for meat processing enterprises.
